Being Trans, Nonbinary, & Pangender
I made this carrd because I got sick of people asking me what those meant or how I could be all three.
What Do Those Mean?
What Does Transgender Mean?

The term transgender refers to a person who has a disconnect between their brain and their AGAB (assigned gender at birth).
The term transgender is covered by the "T" in the LGBTQ+ acronym.
What Does Nonbinary Mean?

The term nonbinary refers to a person who does not identify as 100% male or female 100% of the time. It is an identity itself but it is also an umbrella term for any identity outside of the binary.
While not every nonbinary person may consider themselves transgender or identify with that label, it does fall under the transgender description on the grounds that nonbinary people do not identify with their AGAB (assigned gender at birth).
What Does Pangender Mean?

The term pangender refers to someone who identifies as every gender within their culture and life experience. It includes binary genders, nonbinary genders, and any and all unknown genders that are yet to be established. A pangender person may be fluid or flux between genders.
This label can be interchanged with omnigender, but it is important to remember that people chose the labels they are comfortable with and you should never force labels on others!
Pangender falls under the nonbinary defintion on the grounds that it is not an identity that is strictly male or female.
How Can You Be All Three?
If you already looked through the provided defintions of these labels, you've probably figured it out.
But to put it simply:
I can be nonbinary and transgender because nonbinary falls under the transgender umbrella.
I can be pangender and nonbinary because pangender falls under the nonbinary umbrella.
Nonbinary does not mean "lack of gender." It means "lack of binary gender." It's in the name. Nonbinary isn't a third gender option and cannot be strictly defined by the "other" checkbox in a survey. Nonbinary is a term that covers many people, identities, concepts, and experiences.
My labels are for my comfort and you do not get to police them.
